There are about 500 km of trails to choose from according to degree of difficulty, stretching between the Gargano National Park and the Foresta Umbra, paradises of unspoilt nature in which to enjoy unforgettable views.

Sea trekking in the Gargano: the routes not to be missed

Let's discover together the most beautiful hiking and trekking trails to explore.

Foresta Umbra trail

The green heart of the Gargano is the ideal place for hikers who wish to try their hand at a trail of medium difficulty. The trail is several kilometres long and offers the possibility of walking in the shade of centuries-old trees such as beech and oak. This makes it ideal for the summer months, as it is particularly refreshing.

San Michele Caves Trail

A path to discover rock formations and natural caves. It starts from one of the most picturesque villages in the Gargano and leads to a panoramic view of the coast. Points of interest include the Grotte di San Michele, a place with a magical and spiritual atmosphere.

Trabucchi trail

One of the most evocative trail, as you walk along the coast between the pearls of the Gargano, Peschici and Vieste, in search of horizons to fall hopelessly in love with.

Monte Sacro Abbey Trail

This is archaeo-trekking, because it consists of the discovery of a historical-natural site, one of the most beautiful in the Gargano. It is a complex of thousands of square metres now absorbed by the holm oak forest: here, time seems to have stood still.

Trekking on the panoramic path of Monte Varano

One of the largest lakes in Italy. This new path offers the possibility of reaching the Grotta di San Michele Arcangelo and a splendid panorama of the Tremiti Islands.

Trekking between Vignanotica and the Faraglioni

Known as Baia delle Zagare, this is the most immortalised stretch of coastline in the Gargano. The colours of the sea and nature steal the heart. The route connects the two iconic localities and includes points with a fairly significant gradient, sometimes a little steep. For this reason, it is not recommended for beginners.

If you want a holiday of sea and nature, the Gargano is sure to leave you breathless.

Discover it starting from the Valtur Baia del Gusmay Beach Resort.
